Easy and Delicious Blistered Shishito Peppers

Shishito peppers are so delicious, and I’ve been seeing them all over restaurant menus these days. Luckily, you can save your money and impress your family and guests by making these restaurant quality bites in a matter of minutes at home!

Enjoy!

Ingredients.

Shishito Peppers

Oil or oil spray, I like using avocado oil spray here.

Salt to taste

1 Lime

Flaky salt if you have it, otherwise more normal salt can work!

Method.

Step 1.

Preheat your oven to 425. While that preheats, line a baking sheet with parchment and place down your shishitos, so none are overlapping.

Step 2.

Spray or coat your peppers with oil. Take a fork and pierce each pepper once - this will ensure that they don’t explode in your oven! Finally season with salt and pop them in the oven!

Step 3.

Roast for 8-10 minutes until all peppers are fully softened and starting to brown. If browning isn’t happening in your oven after 10 minutes, feel free to turn on your broiler for one minute so make sure you get that nice roasty char going.

Step 4.

Remove the peppers from the oven. Squeeze lime juice over top of all peppers. Then top with flaky salt - the lime juice brightens the peppers up, and the flaky salt adds texture. This is what makes them taste like they’re truly from a restaurant!

Step 5.

Enjoy! Feel free to eat these on their own or dip in chipotle mayo!
