Vegan In-N-Out Burger (Animal Style)

Sometimes the Animal Style Grilled Cheese just doesn’t cut it - Your girl wants a burger! This dupe even makes meat eaters swoon!

Ingredients.

1 Package Beyond Burgers

1/2 Red Onion, Minced

2 Slices Vegan Cheese

2 Buns, I like Dave’s Killer Bread

3 tbs Vegan Butter (I like Miyokos)

2 slices of tomato (optional)

Leafy Lettuce (optional)

Pickles (optional)

Salt and Pepper to taste

Animal Sauce:

1/2 Cup Mayo

1/3 Cup Ketchup

3 tbs Relish

1 tbs seasoned Rice Wine Vinegar

Salt and Pepper to taste

Method.

Step 1.

Remove Beyond Burgers from the packaging, place between sheets of wax paper, and press down to flatten out the patties. Season with Salt and Pepper and place back into the fridge to set up, until you’re ready to grill.

Step 2.

Melt vegan butter in a pan over medium heat. Drizzle some of the butter onto your buns, then drop your onions into the pan with the remaining butter. Caramelize your onions, stirring occasionally for about 10 minutes.

Step 3 - ANIMAL SAUCE.

Prepare your sauce: Add all sauce ingredients to a bowl and mix it together!

Step 4.

Grill your burgers for 4 minutes on each side. Top with cheese after flipping so the cheese is melted by the time your burgers are ready. You can also either put your buns on the grill or in the toaster.

Step 5.

Assemble! Place your bottom bun down, place a tablespoon-ish of your animal sauce, then pickles, tomato and lettuce. Next comes your burger. Cover that with your caramelized onions and 2 more tablespoons of animal sauce, add your top bun and ENJOY!
