Marinated Tuna Poke Bowl

Poke is so light and delicious, it was always one of my favorite things to order for lunch. When restaurants started to close down in New York, I was left craving poke with nowhere to go. After some trial and error I found the recipe I had been craving. Enjoy!

Ingredients.

1 Pound Sushi-Grade Raw Ahi Tuna

Scallions

Sesame Seeds

(I also like brown rice, edamame, cucumber and avocado in my poke bowls!)

Marinade

1 inch fresh ginger, minced

1/4 Cup Soy Sauce

3 Tbs Sesame Oil

3 Tbs Avocado Oil

2 Tbs Rice Wine Vinegar

1 Tbs Sriracha

Method.

Step 1.

Pat your fresh tuna dry with paper towels. Cut into small cubes. For a large tuna steak I usually cut the whole piece in half width wise before cutting into cubes, for smaller pieces.

Step 2.

Combine all marinade ingredients in a large seal-able bowl or Tupperware and whisk to combine.

Step 3.

Drop in your tuna. Stir to combine. Add sesame seeds and scallions and stir again. Let marinate in the fridge for about 30 minutes.

Step 4.

Assemble your bowl and enjoy!
